Husband and wife team Gilbert and Ursula Lysaght have been keeping their skills up to date by continuing their professional development with numerous courses every year. Gilbert has recently completed a course with the British Dental Acupuncture Society to help patients with gag reflexes, anxiety and TMJ disorders. Ursula is especially interested in treating nervous patients and children.
We ensure that our patients feel relaxed and comfortable from the moment that they arrive at the practice, throughout their appointment and with any follow up care required.

Dr Gilbert Lysaght BA B.Dent.Sc. MFDS (RCS Edin)
Originally from Mallow, Gilbert qualified from Dental School at Trinity College Dublin
in 2008. During his time at University Gilbert achieved an academic scholarship as well as
awards in Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine and "outstanding and dedicated service to the Dental
Profession" from The Irish Dental Association, The Irish Dental Council and The Pierre
Fauchard Academy.
After graduating with Honours, Gilbert moved to Edinburgh to continue his education in a
one year training post funded by the Scottish National Health Service. Dr. Lysaght stayed
for a further three years during which time he was awarded membership to the Faculty of
Dental Surgeons in the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Further experience working in Australia and at home in County Cork has led to the development of a conscientious, dedicated and friendly dentist who can provide all aspects of dental treatment.
Dr. Ursula Lysaght BDS QUB MFDS (RCS Edin)
Ursula completed her dental degree in Queen’s University Belfast in 2008 after qualifying
with distinctions in Paediatric Dentistry, Conservative Dentistry and the Practice of
Dentistry. Following graduation, she attained a position for further training in the Scottish
Vocational Training Scheme. Ursula worked in Scotland for almost five years gaining
experience in both private and NHS dental practices. It was during this time that Ursula was
awarded membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgeons in the Royal College of Surgeons
of Edinburgh after undertaking examinations in the field of dentistry. Ursula then worked in
private practice in Australia before moving to Mallow.
